Mittal Patel visits kakar settlement

About 90 Vadi families of Kakar had doubts whether their homes would be built?

Theirs’ was a long pending issue. The government assistance they had received was way less than needed and to top it up someone had duped them. We all are aware of the funds needed to build a decent home. The Vadi are daily wage earners, managing funds needed to build a brick and mortar house is a challenge for them. VSSM has stood with Vadi community since the beginning of its journey, it has always voiced the plight of these families. Hence it was natural the families reached out to us to help them accomplish the most important aspiration of their life. Help each of them build a home. We assured them of our support and initiated the construction of their houses.

Our dear Ujamshibhai always takes up the charge and responsibility of constructing the settlements we are required to build for Kakar too, he agreed to take up the charge of construction. And look how beautifully the houses are coming up. We hope to finish them by the first week of July.

#કાકરના 90 ફુલવાદી પરિવારોને અમારા ઘરે થશે કે નહીં એવી આશંકા હતી.. 

મૂળ સરકારી ગ્રાન્ટ અમુક પરિવારોને ખુબ ઓછી મળેલી ને એમાંય કોઈ વળી એમને છેતરી ગયું. આમ ઘર બાંધવા ખાસા પૈસાની જરૃર પડે.

વાદી પરિવારો છુટક મજૂરી કરે એમની પાસે મોટી મૂડી ક્યાંથી હોવાની? વળી પાછા આ બધા પ્રિયજનો નાની મોટી બાબતોમાંય તમે ન્યાય કરોનું કહીને અમારી સામે ઊભા રહે...

આવા આ સ્વજનોને ઘર અપાવવાનું સુખ તો કેવડું મોટુ.. અમે નક્કી કર્યું ને ઘર બાંધવાની શરૃઆત કરી. 

પ્રિય ઊજમશીભાઈ VSSMદ્વારા કોઈ પણ બાંધકામ હાથમાં લેવામાં આવે તેમાં મદદ કરે તેમણે કાકરના ઘરો બાંધવાનું માથે લીધુ ને જુઓ સરસ વસાહતનું નિર્માણ થઈ રહ્યું છે.

મોટાભાગે જુલાઈના પ્રથમ અઠવાડિયામાં આ કાર્ય પૂર્ણ થઈ જશે..

On 1st November 2011 the state government sanctioned residential plots to  the vansfoda Vadee families living in Banaskantha’s Kankrej block ironically though, these families are still awaiting assistance from the government to begin construction of houses  on the allotted plots to them almost. VSSM team and the families have made numerous requests and continuous follow up to the issue but every time the answer that they receive from the concerned authorities is that they do not have grant to release!! Such replies make us wonder ‘if during the past 4 years no houses have been built under the Indira Awas Yojna in the village of Kankrej??’ It is hard to believe that there is such severe lack of funds. The picture below reflects the current living conditions of the families awaiting government aid to begin construction of their houses….

We have made one more appeal for an immediate release of housing funds for these families.. hope the authorities pay heed to the request this time

વાદી પરિવારોને ઝડપથી મકાન સહાય મળે એ માટે vssm દ્વારા રજૂઆત કરવામાં આવી..

બનાસકાંઠાના કાંકરેજ તાલુકાના ઉણગામમાં વાદી પરિવારોને રાજ્ય સરકાર દ્વારા તા.૧ નવેમ્બર ૨૦૧૧ના રોજ રહેણાંક અર્થે પ્લોટ ફાળવ્યા હતા. પણ પ્લોટ પર મકાન બાંધવા મકાન સહાય આજ દિન સુધી આપી નથી. આ સંદર્ભે અમે ખુબ રજૂઆતો કરી છે પણ ગ્રાન્ટ ના હોવાનું દરેક વખત સ્થાનિક અધિકારી દ્વારા કહેવામાં આવે છે. જાણે ૨૦૧૧ થી ૨૦૧૬ સુધીમાં કાંકરેજમાં ઇન્દિરા આવાસ યોજના અંતર્ગત કોઈ મકાન જ નહિ બન્યા હોય? ગ્રાન્ટ નથી એ વાત તદન અયોગ્ય છે. આ પરિવારો ખુબ ખરાબ હાલમાં રહે છે એ જે સ્થિતિમાં રહે છે જે જોઈ શકાય છે. 

આ પરિવારોને તત્કાલ મકાન બાંધકામ માટે સહાય મળે એ માટે રજૂઆતો કરી છે જોઈએ પરિણામ ક્યારે આવે છે.

Work on construction of sanitation units commences at the Vadee settlement in Dhangadhra..

Construction of homes for 155 families belonging to Vadee Community is underway in Dhangadhra. These homes are built using stone, taking into consideration the availability of stone in Dhagadhra (in this region most of the homes are built with stones rather than bricks). Donations of Rs. 25,000 per family have been received from the well wishers of VSSM.  Recently we have began including a sanitation unit in each of the home built by us. This 155 homes also needed a to have that. Hence

Shri. Sevantibhai Kapasi has in memory of ‘Smt. Kamlaben Shantilal Chunilal Kapasi’ through Indu Corporation Pvt. Ltd donated Rs. 8,24,400 and Rs. 5,00,000 through ‘Kapasi Chunilal Deepchand Charitable Trust’ bringing his total contribution to Rs. 13.24 lacs. Rs. 10 lacs have been received from ‘Sankat Nivaran Society Gujarat.’ All these money will be used for construction of sanctions units for each home.

The nomadic communities have always led a wandering lifestyle, they aren’t habitual using toilets so when we shared the idea of constructing them the families refused. They suggested towards using the money for building homes. We convinced them into allowing us to build the sanitation blocks to which they suggested the unit should not share wall with the home!!

vssm દ્વારા વાદી વસાહતમાં સેનીટેશન યુનીટનું બાંધકામ શરૂ થયું

        ધ્રાંગધ્રામાં વિચરતા સમુદાયમાંના વાદી સમુદાયના ૧૫૫ પરિવારોના ઘરો બાંધવાનું કામ ચાલી રહ્યું છે. ધ્રાંગધ્રાની ઘરને અનુરૂપ પથ્થરમાંથી આપણે ઘરોનું બાંધકામ શરૂ કર્યું છે. vssm સાથે સંકળાયેલા શુભેચ્છક દાતાઓએ પ્રત્યેક પરિવારને રૂI. ૨૫,૦૦૦ની આર્થિક સહાય ઘર બાંધી આપવામાં કરી. ઘરની સાથે સાથે આ પરિવારોના શૌચાલય બાંધવાનું આયોજન પણ કરવાનું હતું અને તે માટે મુંબઈમાં રહેતા શ્રી સેવંતીભાઈ કપાસી દ્વારા ‘શ્રીમતી કમલાબહેન શાંતીલાલ ચુનીલાલ કપાસી’ની યાદીમાં ‘ ઇન્દુ કોર્પોરેશન પ્રાઇવેટ લી.’ દ્વારા ૮.૨૪,૦૦૦ અને ‘કપાસી ચુનીલાલ દીપચંદ ચેરીટેબલ ટ્રસ્ટ’ દ્વારા ૫,૦૦,૦૦૦ એમ કુલ રૂI. ૧૩,૨૪ લાખ અને ‘સંકટ નિવારણ  સોસાયટી ગુજરાત’ દ્વારા રૂI. ૧૦,૦૦૦,૦૦નું અનુદાન ધ્રાંગધ્રા વસાહતમાં સેનીટેશન યુનીટના બાંધકામ નિમિતે મળ્યું.

        આ પરિવારો આમ તો શૌચાલયથી ટેવાયેલા નહીં એટલે જયારે શૌચાલય બનવવાની વાત આવી ત્યારે પ્રથમ તો તેમણે ના પાડી. ઊલટાનું સંસ્થાના માધ્યમથી શૌચાલય માટે જેટલા નાણાં ખર્ચ થવાના છે તે નાણાં ઘર બાંધવા માટે વપરાય તેમ ગોઠવવા સૌએ વિનંતી કરી. વિચરતા પરિવારો મૂળ સદીઓથી રઝળતા રહ્યા છે એટલે શૌચાલય માટેની માનસીકતા જ નહીં. આપણે તેમને સમજાવ્યા એટલે મન વગર તેમણે શૌચાલય બનાવવા મંજૂરી આપી. સાથે સાથે પોતાના ઘરની દિવાલને શૌચાલયની દિવાલ અડકે નહીં તે પ્રકારે આયોજન કરવાની સ્પષ્ટ સૂચના પણ આપી.

        ધ્રાંગધ્રાની વસાહતના બાંધકામમાં મદદરૂપ થનાર સૌ સ્વજનોનો આ તબક્કે આભાર વ્યક્ત કરીએ છીએ...ફોટોમાં સેનીટેશન યુનીટનું બાંધકામ થઇ રહ્યું છે તે જોઈ શકાય છે.
